These years strengthened her discipline, consistency, and collaboration on the court, while contributing to multiple top-three finishes in ISA and league competitions.
School Basketball
Mulgrave School (Grades 7 to 11)
As a member of Mulgrave’s basketball program, Maya played guard and wing roles, supporting steady team growth through regular season play, skills training, and tournaments across the Lower Mainland. Her teams earned strong finishes at ISA competitions and school-hosted tournaments, and she developed both court awareness and leadership through multi-year play.
Club Basketball
3D Basketball Academy (Red → Black → Academy Teams)
Maya trained and competed with 3D Basketball Academy for several years, progressing through the program’s competitive pathway:
- Red Team – entry competitive level
- Black Team – higher-level regional competition
- Academy Team – advanced roster for athletes selected based on performance and potential
With 3D, she competed in tournaments across the Lower Mainland and BC, including:
- BC Spring Classic
- Drive Winter Classic
- West Coast Invitational
- 3D Summer Showcase
- YCBC / Metro Classic
Her teams consistently placed well, often finishing in top brackets and winning multiple age-group games and pool rounds. Playing club basketball pushed her into a faster, more physical environment and helped her build resilience, teamwork, and long-term athletic discipline.
